Best Facial Kit in Pakistan (2026): Real Prices and What Is Inside

A salon facial in Lahore or Karachi runs Rs 2,500 to Rs 6,000 for one sitting, and the beautician uses about Rs 300 worth of product on your face. That gap is the whole reason facial kits sell the way they do here. Buy the jars once, keep them on your shelf, and the same routine costs a few hundred rupees a sitting. The catch is that facial kits in Pakistan range from Rs 550 to over Rs 15,000, the labelling on the cheap ones tells you almost nothing, and a fair number of the whitening kits contain things you would not knowingly put on your face. Here is what the popular kits actually cost in August 2026, what is inside them, and how to tell a good one from an expensive box of scented cream.

What is actually inside a facial kit

Almost every kit sold in Pakistan follows the same salon sequence, whether it has five steps or eighteen. The number on the box is mostly marketing. What matters is which of these jars you are getting.

An eighteen step kit usually splits the same functions across more jars. Two masks instead of one, a separate toner, a neck cream. You are paying for jar count as much as for formulation.

Something to notice in that table. The Rs 15,150 kit is not thirty times better than the Rs 550 pack. It is bigger. The 500g professional jars exist because a salon burns through product on twenty clients a week, and buying salon sizes for one face at home means half of it oxidises in your cupboard before you finish it. For personal use, the 200ml tubes or a trial pack are the honest choice.

Which kit suits which skin

• Oily and acne prone. Skip anything with a heavy massage cream and skip bleach entirely. Clay masks and a gentle chemical exfoliant serve you far better than granules dragged across an active breakout.
• Dry or flaky. Cream based kits, short mask times, and moisturiser immediately after. The Dermacos botanical line and Saeed Ghani's herbal kit are kinder here than the whitening lines.
• Sensitive or rosacea prone. Patch test on your jawline, wait 24 hours, and avoid the bleach step permanently.

The bleach and whitening problem

Roughly half the kits on Pakistani shelves are sold on a whitening promise, and this is where you need to pay attention. Two separate issues get tangled together.

The first is bleach. Facial bleach uses hydrogen peroxide with an ammonia based activator to lighten the fine hair on your face, which makes skin look brighter without changing your actual skin tone. It is not dangerous when used correctly, but it stings, it can leave chemical burns if you leave it on past the stated time, and repeated use on already irritated skin is a bad idea. If you feel more than mild tingling, wash it off immediately rather than waiting out the clock.

The second is more serious. Unregulated skin lightening products sold in South Asia have repeatedly been found to contain mercury salts and undeclared hydroquinone or steroids. The World Health Organization is direct about this, describing skin lightening as a practice "often associated with the risk of exposure to mercury salts," with mercury having toxic effects on the nervous, digestive and immune systems, the kidneys and the skin (WHO, Mercury and health). The kits most likely to carry this risk are the unbranded ones sold loose in bags, the ones with no batch number, and anything promising a shade change in seven days. Buy from the brand's own store or an established retailer, check for a manufacturer address and batch code, and treat any kit that makes your skin unnaturally pale within a week as a reason to stop, not a result. If you are pregnant, leave the bleach and the whitening kits alone for now. Pregnancy already raises your odds of melasma, skin is more reactive, and several brightening actives have not been established as safe in pregnancy. Building a better facial from single products

Here is the part the kit boxes will not tell you. A facial kit is a bundle of small, low concentration versions of products you may already own, priced together. If you buy the four things that actually do the work, you get better formulations, you replace them individually as they run out, and the per sitting cost drops.

How to do the facial properly

Order matters, and so does timing. Most home facials go wrong because people rush the middle and skip the end.

• Tie your hair back and cleanse twice. Once to lift makeup and sunscreen, once to actually clean the skin.
• Steam for 5 minutes, no longer. A bowl of hot water and a towel is enough. Fifteen minutes of steam does not open pores further, it just dehydrates and irritates.
• Scrub with almost no pressure. Small circles, 60 seconds, avoiding the under eye area entirely. If your skin is pink afterwards, you pressed too hard.
• Massage for 8 to 10 minutes, upward and outward. This is the relaxing part. It improves circulation temporarily and does nothing permanent, which is fine.
• Mask for the time on the packet. Clay masks should come off while still slightly tacky. Letting a clay mask dry to cracking pulls moisture out of the skin.
• Tone, moisturise, done. Apply moisturiser while skin is still slightly damp so it seals water in.

Once a month is plenty for most skin. Every two weeks is the absolute ceiling, and only if your skin is oily and untroubled. Weekly facials are how people end up with a damaged barrier, redness that will not settle, and skin that stings when they apply anything at all.

Mistakes that ruin a home facial

• Doing it the night before an event. Book it four to five days ahead. Skin often looks slightly congested for 48 hours after a deep clean, and breakouts that were forming will surface.
• Bleaching over active acne. The peroxide burns open lesions and the result is dark marks that outlast the pimple by months.
• Using the whole kit on the first sitting. Patch test the bleach and any brightening ampoule separately, 24 hours apart, before you use them on your full face.
• Layering the kit on top of retinol or acids. Pause your actives for two days either side. Doubling up on exfoliation is the fastest route to a compromised barrier, and the order you apply things matters generally, which our skincare routine order guide lays out.
• Keeping the kit past its expiry. Once opened, jars of massage cream and mask are usable for around six months. Peroxide bleach loses strength faster and separates. If it smells sharp or has split, bin it.

So which one should you buy?
