Primolut-N by Bayer is the tablet Pakistani doctors most commonly prescribe to delay a period, for umrah or hajj, a wedding, exams or travel, and to manage heavy, painful or irregular bleeding.

It contains norethisterone 5mg, a progestogen that holds the uterine lining steady; your period typically arrives two to three days after you stop taking it.

This is a prescription medicine: the right dose and start day depend on why you are taking it and your cycle, so use it as your doctor advises. For period delay, doctors usually start it three days before the expected period.
