Remove the cap and hold the absorbent tip pointing downwards in your urine stream for 5 to 10 seconds, or dip it in a collected sample for 10 seconds. Re-cap it, lay it flat, and read the window at 3 to 5 minutes. Two lines means pregnant, one line means not pregnant, even if the second line is faint. Do not read after 10 minutes. First morning urine gives the strongest result.

How do I use a midstream test?
Remove the cap and hold the absorbent tip pointing downward in your urine stream for 5 to 10 seconds, or dip it in a collected sample for 10 seconds. Replace the cap and lay the test flat on a dry surface. Read the window at 3 to 5 minutes and not after 10 minutes.
What do the lines mean?
Two lines, even if one is light, means pregnant. One line in the control area only means not pregnant. If no control line appears at all, the test has not run properly and you should repeat with a new one.
How accurate is it and when should I test?
Used correctly from the first day of a missed period, it is over 99 percent accurate in lab testing. Testing before your period is due can give a false negative because hCG may still be too low to detect.
