The Ordinary's entry-level retinoid: 0.2% pure retinol suspended in a water-free base of plant-derived squalane and jojoba oil. It's the gentlest step on the brand's retinol ladder, made for first-time retinol users who want to soften the look of fine lines and even out texture and tone without diving into higher strengths.

Note: Retinol increases sun sensitivity — wear sunscreen daily while using it. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Some dryness or flaking is normal while skin adjusts.
How to Use
Evenings only. After cleansing (and any water-based serums), apply a few drops to the face, then follow with moisturizer. Patch test first, and don't layer with other retinoids, direct acids or direct vitamin C in the same routine. Wear SPF every morning. The Ordinary recommends storing it in the fridge after opening and using it within 3 months.
