No.4 is the everyday shampoo in the Olaplex system. It carries the same patented bond-building ingredient as No.3, so every wash helps rebuild the broken bonds that bleach, colour, rebonding and heat leave behind. The lather is thick and cleans properly without sulfates, and hair is left soft rather than squeaky.
It suits highlighted, balayage or dyed hair, hair that has been rebonded or keratin-treated, and anyone whose ends snap when brushed. Use it straight after No.3 and follow with No.5 conditioner. A small amount goes a long way because the formula is concentrated.
How to Use
Wet hair well. Squeeze a small amount into your palms, work it into a lather and massage through the scalp and lengths. Rinse thoroughly. Follow with No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner or your Olaplex mask. For the full routine, apply No.3 to damp hair for at least 10 minutes before washing with No.4.

Which number do I use first, No.3 or No.4?

Yes. It is sulfate-free and made for chemically treated hair. Wait the 48 to 72 hours your salon asks for before the first wash.
