CeraVe Acne Control Cleanser is a gel-to-foam face wash for oily, acne-prone skin. The active is salicylic acid 2%, a beta hydroxy acid that exfoliates and works into clogged pores, so it clears acne blemishes, helps prevent new ones forming, reduces blackheads and improves the appearance of pores. Purifying clay helps absorb excess oil and minimise visible shine.
Salicylic acid on its own can leave skin tight and dry. This formula works against that with 3 essential ceramides and hydrolysed hyaluronic acid to maintain the skin's protective barrier, plus niacinamide to help calm the skin. It is fragrance-free, paraben-free, non-comedogenic and developed with dermatologists.
Directions: use twice daily, morning and evening. Shake well, wet your face, then work a dime-size amount into a lather. Massage gently, avoiding the eye area, and rinse well. For external use only.
Active ingredient: salicylic acid 2%. Using another topical acne medication at the same time makes irritation and dryness more likely, so if that happens, stick to one at a time. Check with your dermatologist first if you are on prescription acne medication.
How to Use
Wet your face, apply a small amount in gentle circular motions and rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Use morning and evening, or once daily if your skin feels sensitive.

Usage Tips
Follow with a non-comedogenic moisturiser, and keep using sunscreen every morning while you are on an exfoliating acid. If you also use retinol or another acne treatment, alternate nights rather than layering both at once, since using two at the same time makes dryness and irritation more likely. Store the bottle out of direct sunlight.
